Kris
traveled back home for the holidays and was fortunate enough to be able to
spend some time with the freestylers from Jump Start Dog Sports. We
had a good time watching everyone perform their routines, then went to
dinner and watched more freestyle videos. It was also great to see
old friends...
Kris
was very impressed with all the freestylers. There were a variety of
teams from a country routine with a Kooiker (a dutch breed) to a wonderful
little beagle. Kris was really excited to be included as the "pivot"
in their group routine to "jingle bells".
A big
thanks to Patty Wiedeman for organizing the get together. Hopefully
next year we'll be able to plan a full day of freestyle fun!

Kris
was also asked to give a freestyle performance at the Sunrise Senior
Living community in her home town of La Palma. This was a very
special performance since her grandmother is a resident and suggested that
they come and perform. Kris was assisted by her sister on music and
her two nieces Nicole and Megan helped with the dogs. Nicole and
Kris even did a last minute routine to "Dueling Banjos". Nicole had
danced with Maggie when she was much younger and had a good time taking on
the challenge of dancing with Roxie. This was the first time Kris's
grandmother was able to see the dogs perform in person. Even Kris's
childhood neighbors came to watch. A very special thank you to the
Sunrise community for letting us come, perform, and visit.
